S.T.Y.L.E. accomplishes all of the above through the hard work of five committees: Events, Community Service, Education, Membership and Communication.

 

The Events Committee plans events that allow young professionals the opportunity to engage in meaningful business networking and social interaction. Events include monthly networking, interactive events and an annual signature event, The Young Professional Awards.

 

The Community Service Committee schedules monthly volunteer opportunities based on community need, causes close to their hearts and, of course, by the Chamber motto “Remember a Member.”  From park clean-up to charitable event assistance, food drives to painting the homes of low-income seniors, S.T.Y.L.E. plans to contribute a lot of time to the community this coming year!  We require our members to contribute to at least one community service events once a quarter either monetarily or with their time.

 

The Education Committee works to educate young professionals in areas that will propel and enhance their careers and their overall quality of life. This committee plans quarterly meetings that feature speakers on a wide variety of topics and that provide valuable insight for S.T.Y.L.E. members.  They also offer mentoring opportunities to local area college students to prepare them for the business world while introducing them to the value of the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce.

 

The Membership Committee manages all member applications and keeps our member list current.  They also work to increase our membership by keeping track of members referring new members, rewarding our members for recruiting and speaking with our guests at our events to inform them about member benefits.  They also award a member spotlight in our monthly newsletter as an added member benefit.

 

The Communications Committee makes sure all of our members and potential members receive our newsletters each month and any other communications that need to go out so that everyone is aware of all of our upcoming events.  They also send out surveys after our events so that we can get feed back on how to create even more value to our already great, networking community.

 

Being involved in S.T.Y.L.E. is a great way for young professionals to gain valuable life experiences that will help develop careers, character and lifelong friendships.  The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce will truly benefit by the fostering the professional growth of these Young Leaders and Executives.
