6th Annual Susie Steiner Community Impact Award Breakfast
Entrepreneurship and Innovation at HCC is proud to present the Sixth Annual Susie Steiner Community Impact Award Breakfast on Friday, August 30.
The Susie Steiner Community Impact Award honors a member of the community who makes giving back through entrepreneurship education a priority. Susie Steiner’s impact was significant to the success of HCC’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation program and continues to inspire students today. The Award named for her recognizes an active partner and volunteer with the Hillsborough Community College Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program who has a positive and ongoing impact with students, faculty, and the very early stage start-up community. The Award was developed to honor Susie’s dedication to helping others as well as for her passion for building the local start up community.
We are excited to announce that our keynote speaker for the Steiner Award event will be David Zasada, Vice President of Intuit Education. Dan Bavaro, Tampa Bay entrepreneur and restauranteur, will receive the prestigious Susie Steiner Award. The Working Women Foundation SEED Money Presentation will also be made by Jessica Rivelli and Sharon Fekete, and the award will go to Felecia Pecora. The NACCE Entrepreneur Star Award will go to Clint Day, and will be presented by Rebecca Corbin, President of NACCE.
The Susie Steiner Award is given each year at a breakfast attended by entrepreneurs, community funders, friends of Susie, students, faculty, and staff of HCC, and other community leaders and guests. This year’s event will take place on Friday, August 30, at the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza, 4200 Jim Walter Boulevard in Tampa, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
