STCOC Education Committee Meeting
The STCOC Education Committee strives to bring our community and schools together by acting as a liaison between the business and education community. This committee provides volunteers the opportunity to connect with and give back to our local area schools through programs such as the New Teacher's Welcome Breakfast and the Great American Teach-In.
October Guest Speaker:
Lisa Sutter, Program Coordinator
Lastinger Center for Learning
College of Education, University of Florida
The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning, generously funded by the Vinik Family Foundation
and in partnership with the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, is building, implementing, and
evaluating a national prototype of early childhood professional development that will transform the practice of
teachers and child outcomes in Hillsborough County. This state and national proof point for early childhood
education will demonstrate the life-changing impacts on child learning and development when the most
effective professional learning supports, critical system and policy elements, and strategic partnerships are
simultaneously leveraged in one community
