Winners Announced for 10th Annual Taste of South Tampa

TAMPA, FL - The 10th Annual Taste of South Tampa, hosted by the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, took place on Sunday, April 12. More than one thousand community members enjoyed the Chamber’s signature annual event under the shade of the concourse level of George M. Steinbrenner Field, featuring live music, family friendly activities and an array of delicious food and drink samples from forty of South Tampa’s best local restaurants. Older, Lundy & Alvarez, a family and personal injury law firm in South Tampa, returned as the title sponsor of the event for the 6th year.

The Chamber is pleased to announce the winners of the “Best of the Taste of South Tampa” voted on by the attendees of the event. Chamber president, Kelly Flannery, said the votes were very close this year. “There are so many great new restaurants in South Tampa, along with some that have been around for more than 20 years. Our community is lucky to have become such a foodie town with a wide variety of options.”

    And the winners are…
1st Place People’s Choice: Inside the Box Café & Catering
2nd Place People’s Choice: Rollin’ Oats Market & Cafe
3rd Place People’s Choice: The Fox Jazz Club
Food Blogger’s Award: The Blind Goat Food & Drink Co.

Flannery added, “My favorite part of this event is the opportunity to promote the work that Metropolitan Ministries is doing in our community as well as hosting a food drive at the event. The South Tampa Chamber will also be making a donation to the organization at our May Membership luncheon.”

The date for the 11th Annual Taste of South Tampa has been set for April 10, 2016. More information about the event is available at www.TasteofSouthTampa.com.
