    Objective
    The Membership and Partnerships Manager is a critical management position on the Chamber’s team. The MPM is responsible for management and administration of the Chamber’s strategic partnerships, recruitment of new members, retention of existing members, and the facilitation of the Ambassador committee.
     
    Responsibilities
    • Responsible for planning membership initiatives and developing membership growth
    • Develop and implement strategies for retention of existing members and recruitment and cultivation of new members, including the creation of new member benefits and regular solicitation of member feedback
    • Oversight and management of all membership programs within the chamber including but not limited to: Chamber Ambassadors, Ribbon Cuttings, New Member Orientation and Programs
    • Maintain regular member outreach, membership data base and related membership statistics
    • Management of membership budget, development and execution
    • Prospect, qualify leads, and conduct sales presentations resulting in new members
    • Prepare weekly/monthly membership reports for staff and board
    • Represent the Chamber at community events and meetings
    • Identify and engage new strategic partners and programs and services as the need is identified and feasibility is determined
    • In concert with the Communications Coordinator, curate website content and functionality to enhance membership and strategic partnership programs
    • Responsible for maintaining communication with Chamber members that contact the office via phone, personal visit or website, and assist them with their needs
    • Maintains files, assists in answering phones, and greets walk-in customers as needed for efficient functioning of office and good customer service
    • Coordinates with bookkeeper as necessary to ensure internal monitoring controls
    • Works with all Chamber staff members and volunteers to promote the Chamber in a positive and professional way
    • Supervise interns, administrative staff, and volunteers as appropriate
    • Supports other staff members as needed
    • Other duties as assigned by the President & CEO
    Specifications
    • Must love people and be a customer service rockstar!
    • Knowledge of the South Tampa community and Tampa Bay region a plus
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented, flexible and collaborative with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and positive, can-do attitude
    • Ability to perform job functions and tasks with minimum supervision and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new programs quickly
    • General office hours are Monday-Friday 9am-4pm, however some early mornings, nights, and/or weekends may be required
    • Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years professional experience required
    • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and a commitment to the South Tampa Chamber’s mission
