  • AdventHealth has launched a free phone service for Floridians who have questions about COVID-19

Our teams are working diligently with local, state and national officials to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and to keep your employees and our patients safe. We are prepared for a variety of scenarios and are committed to providing the highest quality of care.

Our teams have been trained to properly address any potential cases of COVID-19. We have a robust infection prevention program and policies that ensure patients, team members and the greater community are safeguarded. Our hospitals and outpatient locations — including AdventHealth Centra Care and AdventHealth Medical Group practices — are prepared to guide a patient with symptoms of coronavirus on next steps.

There are a lot of myths and misunderstandings about COVID-19. We recommend learning the facts from trusted resources including your personal physician, the Florida Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For the most accurate information you can trust:

AdventHealth up to date information can be found here.
CDC guidance for business and employers can be found here.

AdventHealth also launched a free phone service for Floridians who have questions about COVID-19, including the opportunity to speak with a nurse as appropriate. The AdventHealth Coronavirus Information Line, 877-VIRUSHQ, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. While the phone line is not intended to replace a physician-patient relationship, staff can answer general medical questions and if necessary, will refer the caller to the appropriate next steps, such as connecting them to a nurse, AdventHealth Centra Care, AdventHealth eCare or other health care provider.

While the risk for coronavirus infection in Florida remains low, it’s vital that the public be equipped with the facts to help prevent the potential spread of the virus. We hope you will use these resources, remain vigilant and help keep Florida healthy by taking simple steps such as staying home if you’re sick and routine hand washing.

Please feel free to share these resources across your teams as a trusted source.

The medical professionals at AdventHealth Centra Care are committed to providing the highest quality of care for our partners. We will continue to communicate with you and update our website as information becomes available.

    Sincerely,
