A Letter from the Chair:
February 1, 2020 - I am truly honored to serve as the 2021 Chairman of the Board. I am hopeful to make great contributions this year, keeping with the history of the outstanding leadership throughout the Chamber’s existence. I will strive to emulate the integrity, vision, and leadership that has been demonstrated by our recent past Chairs, Connie Gage, Ed Siler, and the many others before them.
As the Chamber prepares to celebrate its 95th Anniversary, I am inspired by our community’s character, compassion, and resilience as we confront this global pandemic. Our members have taken great pride in supporting one another as we navigate through these uncharted waters.
At the beginning of each year, the Chamber looks to find new and impactful ways to assist our members and local community, and this year is no exception. As the Chair, I’m committed to focus on diversity and inclusion to promote a positive change within our community. I plan to continue to provide opportunities for our members to network (virtually or in-person) and attend several professional development events to learn or improve their skills for running a successful business.
This year, I encourage everyone to be active members, highlighting your business, and reaping the benefits afforded to you through your membership. Your success is our success! Together, we will continue to make the difference our community deserves.
I look forward to working with my fellow Board members, our Membership, and our Civic Leaders to continue to make South Tampa the BEST place to live, work, and play! I also look forward to seeing you at the State of the Chamber on February 17, 2021.
