  • Meredith Freeman Named Crisis Center of Tampa Bay Board Chair for 2022

    Tampa, Florida, October 6, 2021 – The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay announced the non-profit organization’s Board of Directors has named Meredith Freeman as its Chair for the 2022 financial year.

    Freeman has volunteered as a member of the Board of Directors since 2017. In previous years she served on the executive committee as the Board Secretary and Chair-Elect.

    She is a partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Construction Litigation Practice Group. She is a member of the Construction Law Committee of the Real Property & Probate Law Section of the Florida Bar and previously served on the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee, which is a Florida Bar Standing Committee.

    “The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay provides critical services to our community, from recent efforts to help residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, to helping those in crisis through the 211 crisis hotline.  I am humbled and honored to be selected by my fellow Board Members to serve as Chair of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay,” said Meredith Freeman.

    The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s Board of Directors is a group of community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to provide strategic direction to the organization. The Board enables the organization to achieve its vision and mission by being advocates and champions of the mission, ensuring the establishment and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures, actively participating in resource development, and exercising stewardship and appropriate oversight.
