2022 HCPS State Legislative Platform
Last week, the Hillsborough School Board adopted the 2022 HCPS State Legislative Platform. The Board and district have many positions from which to take action. Establishing a focus for our advocacy is an important responsibility and directly impacts our students, families and community. In setting priorities, we consider a number of factors, the most important of which is focusing on efforts where it can have the greatest impact for HCPS. The attached legislative platform summarizes the district’s position on priority state issues and policy. The Board approved platform serves as the district’s official position and is a guide for the Board’s advocacy efforts in the 2022 legislative session. | CLICK HERE TO READ
Application Opens for HCPS Financial Advisory Committee
At last week’s School Board Meeting Board members unanimously approved the inception of a Financial Advisory Committee. A group of 15 community members will be selected to collaborate with district leaders by discussing financial strategies and providing their perspectives on financial issues facing the seventh largest school district in the nation. | CLICK HERE TO APPLY
